On December 13, 2015, the Greater Baltimore Chapter (GBC) was the recipient of a Gold Graalman Award, which is the highest award in this category. The award was presented at the NCMA Leadership Fall Conference held in Washington, D.C.

The Graalman Award recognizes chapters that provide the best value to members, taking into account the demographics and unique aspects of the chapter. The GBC Board provided information to NCMA National demonstrating through its Chapter Annual Report for the Program Year (01 July 2014 through 01 June 30 2015) that NCMA’s goals and objectives were well-thought-out in connecting the chapter and NCMA. The Graalman Award serves as recognition for chapter excellence and the demonstration of effective chapter operations

Chapters submit annual report information to the NCMA’s Awards and Honors Working Group for consideration. The Awards and Honors Working Group and the Graalman Review Team, select Chapters based on the information submitted. Chapters are assessed on meeting NCMA’s three objectives which are, Provide Value to Members; Connect NCMA and Members and; Effective Chapter Operations.
